Donations

Patrons wishing to donate used materials to the Taunton Public Library must be reminded that both the Library and the Friends of the Library:

1. Takes materials in good, clean, dry condition only.

2. Does not take magazines, periodicals, or text books.

3. Will not take more than 100 books in total.

4. Materials become the property of the library.

5. Materials it cannot use are passed along to the Friends, other institutions, or discarded.

6. For tax purposes, the Library provides only a letter acknowledging the receipt of the materials; it does not put a dollar value on the materials.

7. Patrons wishing to have their materials picked up by us must make arrangements with the custodian. Please get the patron’s phone number for the custodian to arrange a convenient pick-up time.
