Adult Materials
Books and Magazines
Books on tape cassette and compact disc
- Circulate for 4 weeks
- Can be renewed once
- Can be reserved
- Fine rate: 5 cents per day late not to exceed $2.00 per item
- Replacement for lost/damaged materials: Full cost
Music on audio tape and compact disc:
- Circulate for 7 days
- Can renew
- Can be reserved
- Fine rate: 5 cents per day late not to exceed $2.00 per item
- Replacement fee charged on damaged/lost items: Full cost
Videos and DVDs
Computer materials on CD-ROMs
- Circulate for 7 days
- Can renew
- Can be reserved
- Fine rate: $1.00 per day late not to exceed $10.00 per item
- Replacement fee charged on damaged/lost items: Full cost
Museum Passes
- Circulate for 1 day
- Cannot be renewed
- Cannot be reserved
- Restricted to residents of the Bridgewater Sub-regional Library System
- Fine rate: One half hour late--$5.00; One hour + late--$15.00; Each additional day late--$15.00
- Replacement for lost pass: $50.00 made payable to the Friends of the Taunton Public Library.

Audiocassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs, Videos, and DVDs deposited in the book drop are subject to a $5.00 fine. The items must be returned inside the library due to their fragile formats.
Miscellaneous
Photocopies are charged a rate determined by the vendor.
Microform and computer printouts: 15 cents per page
Photocopied and faxed materials received for patrons through Interlibrary loan: 15 cents per page
Postage fees incurred by the Taunton Public Library for interlibrary loan materials received from another state or country or from any source within Massachusetts not
Served by the statewide library delivery system will be assessed to the patron requesting such material.
Overdue or replacement fees charged to a patron using the interlibrary loan program are the responsibility of the patron and not the library.
