STATEMENT OF CONCERN ABOUT LIBRARY MATERIAL
Anyone wishing to express concern about any library material, either print or media may file a complaint in writing with the Library Director. The Director will consult with the appropriate staff member in charge of the material and re-examination of the item in question will be conducted. A decision on the suitability of the item in relation to its inclusion in the collection of the Taunton Public Library will be based upon the Library’s Collection Policy. All patrons filing this form will receive notice of the Director’s Decision. Should there be a disagreement regarding the Director’s decision, the matter will be brought to the attention of the Taunton Public Library Board of Trustees. All decisions made by the Trustees will be final and the patron will be informed. No materials will be removed from the collection or from public access prior to a final decision.
