Smoking Policy

It shall be the policy of the Taunton Public Library Board of Trustees that

In Compliance with Massachusetts General Law, Chp. 270, Section 21, there will be

NO PUBLIC SMOKING ANYWHERE IN THE LIBRARY BUILDING.

In accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chp. 270, Section 22, the library staff will be allowed to smoke within a designated smoking area, the Custodian’s room in the basement level. Smoking is restricted to designated coffee and lunch/supper breaks.
