Wireless Internet Access Policy
Wireless access to the Internet is now available throughout the building. Designated hotspots near electrical outlets are marked as such. Laptop use is not allowed in the stacks, in stairwells, or while seated on the floor or in any area not commonly used for library services.
Laptops and connection cards are not provided by the Library. The Library is not responsible for insuring the privacy of information you transfer over the network. The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's network. Please note that the library cannot assist you with laptop, card, or configuration. the library cannot accept the liability of handling your equipment.
Users are expected to follow the Library's ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY FOR INTERNET AND GENERAL COMPUTER USE, and as stated within that policy, the Library will not tolerate laptop users illegally transmitting threatening or harassing material, viewing websites with explicit sexual or violent content, or knowingly transmitting computer viruses.
